Snowforest

For the past few months, I have been very busy at setting up my new business, Snowforest. That’s part of the reason why there isn’t much update here. As some people say, taking photographs is one thing, and running a photography business is yet another. I totally agree and fully anticipated. That being said, there is still lots of things to learn and perhaps lots of failures ahead of me and my partner Max Chen.

The biggest change for me as a photographer is that I never wanted to label myself as a photographer with a specialty but now I have to market myself as an architectural photographer. Not that I don’t want to be one, but such a label is just too limited. Nevertheless, business is business. I have to do what I have to do. Even though the label is limited, what I can do is still unlimited. With both of our unique background, I believe we can offer what other architectural photographers can’t offer. So I’m really excited about what I’m doing, and I think that’s the way it should be as far as my career is concerned and as far as the rest of my life is concerned.

Other than architectural photography, I still have some personal projects that I want to do. I will keep you updated as they evolve.
